Fluorene(CAS NO 86-73-7)
Preparation:
Potassium fusion. The raw material is fluorene fraction at 290 ~ 310 °C. The fluorene narrow fraction was cut from fluorene by distillation at 292ー302 °C. Crude fluorene was obtained by melting and hydrolyzing fluorene narrow fraction with potassium hydroxide at 280 ~ 300 °C. Industrial fluorene was obtained by re-distillation of crude fluorene and recrystallization of the distillate at 292 ~ 298 °C.
