Introduction:
In 1866, Baeyer et al. obtained free 1-BENZAZOLE when distilling 2-hydroxyindole, and he and Emmerling jointly proposed the structure of 1-BENZAZOLE. In 1910, 1-BENZAZOLE was found in the fraction of coal tar at 240-260°C. From the structural point of view, it is formed by the fused benzene ring and pyrrole ring at the 2, 3 position of pyrrole, so 1-BENZAZOLE is also called benzopyrrole.
