Introduction:
2-BENZAZINE is also called isoquinoline is a heterocyclic aromatic organic compound. It is a structural isomer of quinoline. Isoquinoline and quinoline are benzopyridines, which are composed of a benzene ring fused to a pyridine ring. In a broader sense, the term isoquinoline is used to make reference to 2-BENZAZINE derivatives.
1-Benzylisoquinoline is the structural backbone in naturally occurring alkaloids including papaverine. The 2-BENZAZINE ring in these natural compound derives from the aromatic amino acid tyrosine.
Application:
2-BENZAZINE can produce drugs and highly effective insecticides. It can be made into pyridine carboxylic acid after oxidation. Its derivatives can be used to make color films and dyes. Used as an intermediate in synthetic drugs, dyes, insecticides and gas chromatographic fixatives. Used in the production of pesticides, pharmaceuticals, rubber accelerators, color film sensitizers, dyes and other products.
