EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Warning! Cancer suspect agent. Possible risks of irreversible effects. May cause liver damage. Causes eye irritation and possible injury. Harmful in contact with skin and if swallowed. Causes skin and respiratory tract irritation.
Target Organs: Liver, respiratory system, eyes, skin, optic nerve.
Potential Health Effects
Eye: May result in corneal injury. May cause retinal damage. Causes eye irritation and possible burns.
Skin: Harmful if absorbed through the skin. May cause severe irritation and possible burns. If absorbed, may cause symptoms similar to those for ingestion.
Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation of the digestive tract. May cause liver damage. Causes respiratory tract irritation. May cause respiratory muscle paralysis. Other symptoms include lethargy,
Inhalation: Irritation, sore throat, nose bleeds, hoarseness, cough, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, fever. Extreme exposures could result in a build-up of fluid in the lungs (pulmonary edema) that might be fatal in severe cases.
Chronic: Chronic inhalation and ingestion may cause effects similar to those of acute inhalation and ingestion. Chronic exposure may cause liver damage. Cancer suspect agent.
Section 4. First aid measures
Eyes: Get medical aid immediately. Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Skin: Get medical aid immediately. Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid immediately.
Inhalation: Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Notes to physician.
Section 5. Fire-fighting measures
General Information: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Extinguishing Media: In case of fire, use water, dry chemical, chemical foam, or alcohol-resistant foam.

Section 6. Accidental release measures
General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks: Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth), then place in suitable container. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to waterways. Clean up spills immediately, observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Provide ventilation.
Section 7. Handling and storage
Handling instructions: Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Avoid breathing vapors from heated material. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Do not ingest or inhale. Use only in a chemical
fume hood. Discard contaminated shoes.
Storage precautions: Keep away from sources of ignition. Do not store in direct sunlight. Store in a tightly closed container. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.
