9H-Fluorene is mainly derived from coal tar and is one of the main components of coal tar, accounting for about 1.6% of coal tar; the content in washing oil is about 6-7%; in anthracene The content in the oil is about 10%; the content in the heavy washing oil is greater than 30%; the content in the washing oil distillation residual oil is nearly 40%. 9H-Fluorene can also be prepared by mixing 2,2, -dibromodiphenylmethane with water, using ferric chloride as a catalyst, and azeotropically preparing it; it can also be prepared by reacting biphenyl with dichloromethane.
