Health Hazard Information(Ⅱ)

Reproductive/Developmental Effects:

  • No information is available on the reproductive or developmental effects of quinoline in humans or animals. 

Cancer Risk:

  • No human studies are available on the carcinogenicity of quinoline. 

  • An increased incidence of liver hemangioendotheliomas (liver vascular tumors) and other liver tumors has been observed in rats and mice orally exposed to quinoline. 

  • EPA has classified quinoline as a Group B2, probable human c-a1rcinogen. 

  • EPA has calculated an oral cancer slope factor of 3 (mg/kg/d) .
