Not only did the research on the synthesis of indole not stop, but on the contrary, it has been widely concerned by chemists. New, gentler, simpler, and more effective synthetic methods are constantly being reported. These methods mainly include two kinds, one is to use indole as a reaction substrate to further functionalize; the other is to design some substrates and construct an indole ring through reaction to achieve the synthesis of highly functionalized indole.
